I am one of the Product Marketing interns this summer at Wind River. A rising senior at Texas Christian University, in Fort Worth, TX, I’m a double major studying Marketing and Management at the Neeley School of Business. In my free time, I love going to the beach, traveling to new locales, and playing with my dog and pet bunny!
As a Product Marketing Intern, my days never look the same and that’s what I like about it. Every day I have meetings which are standard, but they are constantly filled with meeting new people and learning about a new area or product.
On a typical day, beyond participating in standard meetings, I’m able to work on the different projects I have been assigned. This ranges from assisting on webinar development, to writing a blog or helping create a landing page for new content on the website. This has allowed me to show off my creative side and become familiar with new tools. Being able to have some creativity with my projects has made it so much easier to wake up and enjoy what I am doing.
My goal for an internship was to become exposed to new verticals I hadn’t been familiar with before and to learn from them. Wind River has given me that exact opportunity and experience. If I am ever stuck or need help understanding something to greater depths, someone is just one Zoom call away willing to help me.
I am excited to learn and grow more as I finish off the last few weeks of my internship!
