Use these instructions to file claims for FedEx Express®, FedEx Ground® and FedEx Freight® shipments from:
For shipments originating from outside the U.S. (except Canada), contact FedEx International Customer Service at 1.800.463.3339.
– Enter your tracking/PRO number.
– Select your claim type.
– Complete the online claim form.
Drag and drop documents from your computer to your claim. Supporting documents can include:

– Scan of FedEx® US Airbill, FedEx Ship Manager® printout, and/or FedEx Ground Pickup Record
– Photos of package and damaged contents (if applicable)
– Serial number(s) of damaged or lost merchandise
– Proof-of-value documentation, such as:
– Copy of original invoice from vendor/supplier
– Copy of retail invoice/receipt
– Final confirmation screen of an online order with proof of payment
– Itemized repair invoice or statement of non-repair
– Appraisal(s) – Expense statement

For Freight claims, please send supporting documents to file.freightclaim@fedex.com.
Review your information, submit the claim form, and print the case number page for your records.
We will notify you if your claim requires an inspection. Maintain the shipment’s original packaging (including cartons and contents) for inspection and keep them until your claim is resolved.
You can conduct your own package inspections for FedEx Express or FedEx Ground shipments in the U.S. with a declared value greater than $100 and less than $1,000. Simply download and complete the Inspection Report (400 Kb PDF). Upload and attach any digital images of your shipment’s packaging and/or content to send with the inspection report. Submit online or email the completed report and images to the email address indicated on the form.

Schedule reporting and view your claims report for FedEx Express and FedEx Ground through FedEx® Reporting Online.
Use these instructions to file a single claim using a two-step process, or up to 200 claims at one time for FedEx Express®  and FedEx Ground® shipments from:

Step 1: Log in to fedex.com
– If you don’t have a FedEx account, find the type of account that’s right for you.

Step 2: Select the File Batch Claims tab and download the template

Step 3: Fill in your claims data and save your file

Step 4: Use the “Browse” function to select and upload the file
– Your uploaded claims will appear at the bottom of the page.

Step 5: Review and update your batch claims
– FedEx saves you time by reviewing your batch claims for errors before you submit them.
– Message and error alerts will guide you through the claims that require further attention.
– As you make corrections and add documentation, click Refresh Table to view updated status based on your most recent changes.
– You can save your claim at any time and come back to it later.
– When all your claims show the green icon, you’re ready to submit your batch claim.

Step 6: Submit your batch claim
– Review your information and submit your batch claim.
– Print your case number page for your records.
Add supporting documents
To speed up your claim process, upload supporting documentation for your FedEx Express or FedEx Ground claim as soon as you get it.

Add inspection report

When filing a claim — whether you send it online, by mail or via fax — keep in mind these key tips:

File promptly
You must file your claim for damaged or missing contents no later than 60 calendar days from the shipment date for U.S. packages and 21 calendar days from the shipment date for international packages. Claims for undelivered or lost shipments must be filed within nine months of the shipment date.

Be prepared
You will need your tracking number to submit a claim online.

Attach supporting documents
You can file a claim and include supporting documentation, or add it later. Simply drag and drop documents from your desktop to your claim form. For damaged items, attach documentation such as proof of value (invoice or appraisal) and photos of the damage.
